What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing – shorts, cycling shoes with SPD clips or a hard soled sneakers.
If you book your bike online prior to class, your name and bike number will be on our sign-in sheet at the desk. Make sure you verify your arrival so our staff knows you’re ready to roll. Unclaimed bikes will be released 4 minutes prior to class, so it’s super important you remember to check in.
First time riders are encouraged to arrive 15-20 minutes early to settle in and give our staff a few minutes to show you the ins and outs of the ride. Because of safety concerns, new riders will not be admitted to class if they arrive late. All classes start on time, so make sure you’re on the bike before the lights go down.
Should I eat before class?
A light snack is recommended 30 minutes or so before class. Simple carbohydrates (about 100 calories) help to maintain energy level for the duration of your ride.
Hydration, particularly during the colder months is imperative for a safe and effective ride. Its recommended that you drink plenty of water as soon as 2 hours before your session. For early morning riders, try to drink an 8 oz. glass of water as soon as you get up and continue sipping water right up until the start of class. Continue to hydrate during and after the ride.
All riders are required to sign a waiver in the studio prior to your first class, and riders who are 13-17 years old must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
Schwinn Carbon Blue bikes are designed to mimic an outdoor bike rider’s positioning. Simple adjustments can be made to protect you from unnecessary stress on your knees, back and shoulders. For safety and effectiveness, its important that a trained member of your staff assists you in setting up your bike the first time.
